Van Horn Surprises Oak Grove in Class 3 District 15

The Van Horn Falcons edged the Oak Grove Panthers 26-19 in class 3 district 15 action Friday night.

Van Horn had only two wins in the past three seasons combined. Thus far this season the Falcons have tripled that win total as their record stands at 6-2 on the year.

The Falcons are now in good position to make the playoffs after their win Friday night.

A trip to defending class 3 state champ Richmond looms on the schedule in week 10 but a win over Odessa next week can all but secure at least a runner-up finish for the Falcons.
