Clinton Baseball Squad Wins Bolivar/Buffalo Tournament

The Clinton Cardinals baseball team won the Bolivar/Buffalo baseball tournament Saturday by routing state ranked Springfield Catholic 23-10. 

The Cards jumped out to an 11-1 lead before Springfield Catholic plated six in the fifth inning to cut the lead to 11-7. Clinton put the game out of reach by scoring 12 runs in the 7th inning for the lopsided win.

Clinton had 16 hits led by Bret Miller and Dylan Stadter who both 4 hits. Miller and Tyler Ford had two-run homers in the contest while Hunter Cloud drove in 4 RBIs. Stadter's four hits were all doubles as he drove in 5 runs while scoring 5 times as well.

Clinton also defeated Stockton, El Dorado Springs and Bolivar in the tournament.
