Holden Wins State Farm Baseball Classic

The Holden Eagles baseball team won the State Farm Classic Saturday after defeating Knob Noster 14-3 in the round-robin style tournament.

Dylan Riley was the winning pitcher for the Eagles going 4+ innings allowing only three hits with nine strikeouts. Jimmy Bryant, Jake Bryan, Stetson Phillips, David Carter and Jared Anstine all had multiple hits in the contest. One of Jared Anstine's hits included a two-run homerun.

Holden finished the tournament 3-0 with wins over Higginsville, Knob Noster, Grain Valley JV and Knob Noster. Higginsville took second  place in the tournament going 2-1 and Knob Noster finished in 3rd place with a 1-2 record. 

The Eagles overall record for the season is 10-6 after the tournament win.
