Concordia Withstands Furious Comeback Bid From Huskers

One of the best games on the week 1 schedule featured two preseason state-ranked teams when Higginsville traveled to Concordia Friday night.

This game was a tale of two halves. The Orioles dominated the first half and led 20-0 at halftime. The Huskers defense dominated the second half while the Higginsville offense tied the game to force overtime.

In the overtime period, Concordia scored through the air on the touchdown and two point conversion. Higginsville's comeback bid and two point conversion failed.  Concordia wins 28-26 in overtime.

The Orioles will travel to Rock Port in week 2 while Higginsville will host El Dorado Springs.
