Santa Fe Wins Class 1 Baseball State Title

The Santa Fe Chiefs baseball team won their second state title in six years on May 31st. The impressive span includes two state titles, four state appearances and four district titles.

 

The Chiefs charged back from a 3-1 first inning deficit with a convincing 12-3 win over Norwood in the title game.

 

Keaton Graf settled in to pitch a complete game after giving up three first inning runs (two earned). Graf struck out eight in the contest and only allowed two hits and four walks. Graf also went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs.

 

Santa Fe's 3-7 hitters combined 10-for-17 with seven runs driven in.

 

The Chiefs finish the season with just one loss and 23 wins.
